## How does it work?
1. Create a tournament and open registration — forms and rules are ready instantly.
2. Athletes register and pay entry fees online, without calls or spreadsheets.
3. IMAR automatically builds lists, checks data, and prepares brackets.

## Tournament systems
- **Single elimination**: One loss ends the run. The final awards gold and silver; there may be two bronze medallists or one after a bronze bout.
- **Round robin**: Up to six athletes each face every other athlete. Wins decide the ranking, with bout points breaking ties.
- **Multistage**: Up to 12 athletes compete in two round-robin groups. The top two from each group enter crossed semifinals, then the final.
- **Repechage from finalists**: Only athletes who lost to eventual finalists return to contest bronze. All other defeated athletes are eliminated.
- **Repechage from semifinalists**: Athletes defeated by semifinalists can still pursue bronze. Those who lose a semifinal move into the lower bracket.
- **Bronze repechage**: A first loss moves an athlete to the lower bracket. Upper-bracket winners compete for gold; lower-bracket winners earn bronze.
- **Silver repechage**: The upper-bracket winner takes gold, the lower-bracket winner takes silver, and the lower final loser takes bronze.
- **Best of three for two**: Two athletes compete until one has two losses. Two bouts may decide it; at 1–1, a third bout determines the winner.
- **Semi round robin for three**: The first bout winner reaches the final. Its loser faces the third athlete for the other place. If the finalists already met, their earlier result stands.
- **Double elimination**: A first loss sends an athlete to the lower bracket; a second eliminates them. A lower-bracket win in the final triggers a reset bout.
- **Direct ranking**: Athletes perform a technical routine without bouts. Total scores across one or more stages determine the places.
- **Repechage and grand final**: A first loss moves an athlete to the lower bracket. Its winner meets the upper winner in a best-of-three grand final without a bracket reset.
